Stale Air

It hasn't been a long flight, but I'm tired of the stale air and dinging of the fasten seat belt sign going on and off. The silence of the small cabin is deafening. The air blows so hard, you can't hear the person next to you. The screen a foot away from my face is bright blue, shining in my eyes, keeping me awake. All I want to do is sleep. I close my eyes and wait. One hour. Two. Five go by. I'm still sitting in this little chair, straight up, not intruding on the person's space behind me. I'm weary from travel. I'm aching from altitude. Music pulls me through...

Gungor- Beautiful Things
Death Cab for Cutie- I will Possess Your Heart
Radiohead- High and Dry
Snow Patrol- Hands Open
Bruno Mars- Just the Way You Are
The Arcade Fire- Keep the Car Running
The Shins- Phantom Limb

"There's a song that's inside of my soul..."

Worship is life, we all worship different ways, even different things. My favorite form of worship is through music. I used to write songs. My best friend in middle school and I loved music so much that we decided to make music together. we wrote ridiculously cheesy songs, but they were real and honest to who we were. In high school, I was in a band. I still wrote songs, and they were still cheesy, but I didn't share them anymore. I decided that if I had a place to share my words, that I would be more likely to create the songs in my heart.

"....it's the one that I've tried to write over and over again"
